What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

I made a quilt for my son but didn't get it back until we returned from NC.  He had a golden retriever that passed away.  She was our dog first then when he moved out he took her with him..  That dog just adored him!  So when she passed away I decided to include a nod to her in his quilt.  I used Holiday Homies by Tula Pink.  It has a golden with glasses.  I used the pattern called Comfort and

I made this cute quilt back in 2017 when Tula's Holiday Homies range was first released.

I didn't want to lose any of the motifs so I designed my own pattern which you can find here in my original blog post. 

Tula Pink has re-released Holiday Homes in flannel, but I was fortunate enough to get the original cotton version. 

This was the start of one of the best weeks ever!  I get to see these women once a year (some a bit more often) and I was going to get to introduce Kailie to all my friends!One of my sewing goals was to finish my Comfort and Joy top and then work on my Denim and Lace top.First star!I used Holiday Homies flannel for this one.It will be a Christmas gift.We shopped, a LOT while we were there too.
